The World
congratulates us as we reach the end of the road, whole and complete and ready
for the next cycle. This is the card of dynamic balance where all is right with
the world, all is as it should be. Everything has come together in fruition -
we are at the right place doing the right thing, achieving what we have
envisioned and feeling fulfilled. Hark the herald of new beginnings that
naturally emerge out of the completion.

Don't cry over spilled milk. The Five of Cups reminds us that there is a time to grieve losses and disappointments and a time to turn around and move to higher ground. Look for the silver lining. There is always opportunity in adversity. Look on tomorrow with hope rather than despair.

The 22 cards which are called the Major Arcana of the Tarot are a series of images which portray the different stages of a journey. This journey is one which is familiar from many myths, legends and fairy tales, as well as from the worlds great religious teachings. It is the journey of life which all human beings must make, from birth through childhood and the power and influence of the parents, through adolescence with its loves and conflicts and rebellions, through maturity with its worldly trials and ethical and moral challenges, through loss and crisis, despair and transformation and the awakening of new hope, toward eventual victory and achievement of the goal - which in turn leads to yet another journey. |

Time Out! The Four of Swords symbolizes rest and repose. It it time to call an emotional truce with yourself? The external chaos of life may rage all around us, but if our emotional and mental boundaries are firmly established, we can remain calm in the midst of the storm. Anchor yourself, reclaim your center, and renew your body/mind/spirit.

The tarot speaks in an ancient and evocative language of symbols, charting the evolution of the soul and the mysteries of life. This system of archetypal and emotional imagery makes the tarot an unprecedented vehicle for spiritual inquiry and intuitive growth.
